Bobby Janecka was appointed to the TCEQ by Gov. Greg Abbott effective Sept. 16, 2019.
About Bobby Janecka
Janecka most recently served as a policy advisor in the Office of Governor Greg Abbott as well as the state liaison officer for Texas, serving as the primary liaison with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Prior to serving in the Governor’s Office, Janecka worked for the TCEQ as a section manager in the Radioactive Materials Division. Janecka has served as legislative staff for both Texas State Representatives Geanie Morrison and Tryon Lewis, as a legislative analyst at the Comptroller of Public Accounts, and as a public school teacher in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Janecka received a Bachelor of Arts in Historical Studies and Literary Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas, a master’s degree in International Affairs from the Texas A&M George Bush School of Government and Public Service, and completed the Governor’s Executive Development Program at the University of Texas LBJ School of Public Affairs in 2014.
