State Law
Texas Water Code Chapter 28A identifies registration and inspection requirements for APOs:

Aggregate production operations must register with TCEQ 10 days prior to beginning operations and renew the registration annually.

TCEQ must survey the state annually for aggregate production operations.

TCEQ must inspect each aggregate production operation every three years.

TCEQ must establish registration fees not to exceed $1,000 per year.

TCEQ may assess penalties of $5,000 to $10,000 for every year in which an aggregate production operation operates without registration (total penalty cannot exceed $25,000).

TCEQ adopted 30 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) 342 to implement the registration requirements of TWC Chapter 28A.

Participation in the APOSG
This group currently has representation from aggregate production operations, water associations, petroleum and chemical industry, agricultural industry, engineering firms, law firms, environmental organizations, consumer groups, and governmental entities.
