Stormwater Stakeholders Group (SWSG)

Meeting schedule, agenda, summary of past meetings, and related information for this voluntary group that meets to discuss issues related to stormwater permits and requirements.

Participation in the SWSG

The SWSG is open to the public. Anyone who is interested in stormwater permitting may attend and participate in SWSG meetings. The SWSG currently has representation from water associations, river authorities, academic institutions of higher learning, petroleum and chemical industry, electrical utility industry, agricultural industry, consulting firms, law firms, engineering firms, consumer groups, environmental organizations, public and private treatment plant operators and managers, municipalities, industries, government entities, and individual citizens.

UPDATERenewal of the Phase II Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) General Permit, TXR040000

TCEQ is in the process of renewing the TPDES Phase II Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) General Permit, TXR040000, which expires on January 24, 2024. TCEQ published notice of the proposed 2024 MS4 General Permit in the Texas Register and Houston Chronicle newspaper. The proposed general permit and fact sheet are now available for review as part of the 30-day public comment period, ending September 25, 2023, at 11:59 PM, CDT.
