TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $531,333

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $438,960 against 31 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: six air quality, one industrial hazardous waste, one industrial wastewater discharge, two multimedia, three municipal wastewater discharge, six petroleum storage tank, eight public water system, and one water quality.

Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one landscape irrigator, one municipal solid waste, and one petroleum storage tank.

In addition, on Feb. 20, the executive director approved a total of 40 penalties, totaling $92,373.
